Today, Poplar Class enjoyed another exciting trip to the forest. This week’s session began with a letter hunt. In small groups, the children were given the challenge of going around the forest to find several cards. On these cards, they found different letters, once the children found all the letters they had to unscramble them to find the word ‘FOREST’. Their learning then continued with a class discussion about what the pictures on the cards all had in common, as a team they figured out that they were all forest animals.
They then went on to having a class discussion about what the pictures on the cards all had in common, as a team they figured out that they were all forest animals. They are now able to identify what animals they might or might not find in the forests near by.
Following on from this, the children had some free time enjoying and exploring the different activities in the forest. We all had a lovely Tuesday morning!
