Children across the school have been learning the history of Judaism this half term, exploring the story of Abraham, the ‘Father of Judaism’, and the covenant God made with him. As part of this epic story, in KS1 we also explored the story of Noah, and in KS2 we have recalled our prior knowledge of the story of Moses and again explored the covenants in these parts of the story. We have discussed covenants in our own lives (between school and home; between us and our friends etc) and even considered our role in being stewards of our environment as a covenant between God and human beings, linking closely to our work on catholic social teaching.
