The month of October is dedicated to the Holy Rosary. Some say the Rosary receives its name from the crown of thorns that believers used to wear in the early Church when on their way to be martyred. Others hold that the term comes from the Latin ‘rosarium’ meaning garden rose, and provides an image of a perfect garden of prayer. The Rosary is a popular form of prayer and this October, we thank some of our older Mini Vinnies who travelled around the school praying a decade with different classes.
