Yesterday, as part of British Science Week, UKS2 classes were wowed by Hands-On Science and their workshop on the heart and the circulatory system. The children were able to show off their prior learning on the circulatory system and Linda, the workshop Leader, was able to show them everything they had learned about the heart on an actual Ox heart. Following this, the children worked in groups dissecting a lambs heart, identifying different parts of the heart and seeing it all first hand. Some were a little squeamish, but most threw themselves into the task at hand and enjoyed the opportunity!
