During the summer holidays, an amazing set of children from our school set off on an adventure to raise money for charity.
The children were really excited to tell me all about it when they arrived this morning.
‘We were very eager to help raise awareness of endangered species. So we decided to raise money for ZSL (Zoological Society of London).’
‘Together we choose to do a sponsored walk from the school to London zoo. We didn’t realise how far it was, but it didn’t put us off.’
‘We all met at the school with some of our parents and headed off towards London zoo. We had the most amazing snacks on the way to keep our energy up.’
The children walked the 16km in great spirits and were even able to walk around London zoo after they got their (helping to drag around a few of the parents!). They were able to meet some of the animals the money they raised will help.
‘Our favourite animal to meet was the sloth that was hanging from a tree above us, it was so cool.’
All together they raised £1200 pounds to help out endangered animals which is an amazing feat and they did it all with a huge smile! Well done to everyone involved you have shown what it means to be a young Vincentian.
Below are some of the pictures that were taken during the day.
