“How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!”
Psalm 133.1

Key Stage One

Key Stage one children are thoroughly enjoying our Project, Living and Learning. We have been looking at the meaning of ‘mistakes’ to help us understand how to answer our driving question for this term. We have discussed our own mistakes in the past and shared how we learnt from these.

We have been looking at the story, Little Red Riding Hood. The children have enjoyed acting out the story, writing recounts, diary entries and newspaper articles. We have discussed mistakes the characters have made in the story and used our understanding to write character descriptions, sorry letters and create wanted posters.

The children in Key Stage One have been learning about Place Value in Maths. Year 2 children have enjoyed working with Dienes to identify Thousands, Hundreds Tens and Ones. The children are problem solving independently.

Our Year 1 children have enjoyed being able to choose from a range of Maths activities to help them identify ‘more’ and ‘less’ than a given number.
